Landing at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. Transfer to boutique Changspa hotel. Mandatory 24-hour acclimatization rest. Evening briefing on high-altitude tactical convoy protocol and pulse-oximeter health check.
Sham Valley Warm-Up Ride (Indus & Zanskar Confluence)
Shakedown ride along NH-1. Visit Spituk Gompa, Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and the breathtaking Sangam confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Motorcycle ergonomic tuning and throttle checks.
Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (17,582 ft)
Climb the colossal switchbacks of Khardung La. 15-minute summit window to prevent AMS, followed by a dramatic descent into the Shyok Valley. Explore Hunder white sand dunes on two wheels. Overnight in heated luxury Swiss alpine tents.
Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso via Shyok River Canyon
Ride through the rugged Shyok River gorge, tackling loose riverbed trails and unbridged glacial runoffs (pagal nallas). Arrive at the surreal turquoise expanse of Pangong Tso (13,940 ft). Sunset over the Tibetan borderland.
Pangong Tso to Leh via Chang La (17,586 ft)
Dawn photography along the Pangong shoreline. Ascend the icy hairpins of Chang La Pass (world third-highest motorable pass). Descend to the Indus Valley, visiting Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Concluding victory dinner in Leh.
Leh Airport Transfer & Homeward Bound
Final morning breakfast with the expedition crew. Transfer to Leh airport with memories of a lifetime and your certified Ride & Fire high-altitude finisher token.

International Rider & Expat Protocol

1. Protected Area Permits (PAP)
Foreign passport holders require statutory Protected Area Permits for Pangong, Nubra, and border corridors. Simply email your passport scan and valid Indian eVisa copy 14 days before arrival. Our Leh headquarters procures and stamps all original permits in advance.
2. Flight Logistics (DEL → IXL)
Fly into New Delhi (DEL) and take an early morning connecting flight to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh (IXL). Domestic carriers allow checking riding boots and heavy gear. Our private chauffeur meets you directly at Leh arrivals for transfer to our heritage basecamp.
3. Mandatory 48-Hour Acclimatization
In strict compliance with Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) and Sonam Norboo Memorial Hospital protocols, all arriving pilots observe a compulsory 48-hour rest and gentle shakedown period in Leh (11,560 ft) before tackling high passes.
4. Licenses & Riding Safety
Riders must hold a valid domestic motorcycle operator license accompanied by an International Driving Permit (IDP). Bring your own ECE/DOT-certified full-face helmet, armored riding jacket, and waterproof adventure boots. We provide all motorcycle luggage racks and dry packs.
