The Himalayan Standard

NON-
NEGOTIABLE.

100% Royal Enfield Himalayan 452

Every machine in our fleet is a brand-new RE Himalayan 452 — liquid-cooled Sherpa engine, 40 HP, electronic ride-by-wire EFI with automatic altitude compensation. No air-cooled 411s. No compromises on power at 17,000 feet.

Authentic LA-02 Yellow Plates

Only motorcycles with Ladakh commercial LA-02 yellow plates are legally permitted across Khardung La, Chang La, Nubra, and Pangong checkpoints. Every Ride & Fire machine is 100% union-compliant. No impoundment risk — ever.

Micro-Batches of 6–8 Riders

We cap every departure at 8 riders — not 25, not 35. This gives you a 1:4 staff-to-rider ratio, eliminates dangerous convoy dust storms, and guarantees you personalized mechanical and medical attention throughout the route.

24L Medical Oxygen Escort

Our 4x4 shadow convoy carries 24-liter high-flow medical oxygen cylinders, non-rebreather masks, pulse oximeters for twice-daily SpO₂ checks, and Wilderness First Responders certified to handle Acute Mountain Sickness above 14,000 feet.

Rider Dispatches

STRAIGHT
FROM THE PASS.

Kunga's team is not a tour operator — they're a field unit. The oxygen checks at Sarchu probably saved me from a bad AMS episode. The 452 felt planted on ice like it was on rails.

Marcus H. — Germany  ·  Himalayan Odyssey, Sept 2025

I've done Spiti twice with larger operators. Ride & Fire was completely different — 7 of us, 1 guide per 2 bikes, and a shadow truck 200 metres behind at all times. Pangong at sunrise with zero other tourists was worth every rupee.

Priya S. — Singapore  ·  Classic Ladakh, July 2025

The machine allocation, the LA-02 plates, the SpO₂ readings before Khardung La — this is the most systematically safe way to ride in the Himalayas. Period.

Tom R. — Australia  ·  Zanskar Frontier, Aug 2025

I was skeptical about the price. After watching three bikes from another group get turned back at Chang La checkpoint for wrong plates, I understood exactly what we were paying for.

Aiko M. — Japan  ·  Classic Ladakh, June 2025

The 452 at 17,500 feet still pulled clean. Kunga spoke to us like a friend, briefed us like a commander, and delivered exactly what he promised. Book this expedition.

Sherpa 450 Technical Blueprint

LIQUID-COOLED
ALTITUDE TUNING.

Standard air-cooled singles lose up to 35% horsepower above 14,000 ft due to thin air and cylinder overheating. The Himalayan 452 maintains sustained climb velocity through closed-loop ride-by-wire fuel trim calibration.
